Tips for a More Productive Work Day

Sometimes it is hard to maintain balance between business-maintaining administrative tasks and business-driving tasks.  In this day and age time is money and money is time. 

Identify the things that do not need to be a priority.

Email alerts are very helpful if used properly.  When used for minor things, the pop-up alerts become a distraction and take focus away from more important tasks.

Take the time to do things the right way the first time.  That way you don’t spend more time fixing the errors later.

Don’t be so available to everyone.  You need to be available to help others, however when you are too available you don’t have time to actually get anything accomplished.

Focus on one thing at a time. Focusing on too many things all at once leads to mistakes, which leads to time wasted redoing something to get it right.
